Fernan Lake health advisory lifted

From staff reports
Water in Fernan Lake is again safe for fishing, other recreation and domestic water supplies. The Panhandle Health District has lifted an earlier blue-green algae advisory issued for the lake near Coeur d’Alene. The algae can produce toxins harmful to people and animals. Officials from Idaho Department of Environmental Quality have been monitoring the lake and they now confirm the concentration of the blue-green algae in Fernan Lake is no longer a health concern.
