One arrested, one sought after Rite-Aid robbery, police pursuit
Police were searching Tuesday night for a suspect hiding in a north Spokane neighborhood after they say two men robbed a Rite-Aid pharmacy at gunpoint and fled with oxycodone pills.
After the robbery was reported around 8:30 p.m., the robbers led police on a car chase westward from the store at 5520 N. Division St., eventually running into a power pole, KHQ-TV reported. Both fled the wrecked car on foot in the neighborhood of Maple Street and Glass Avenue.
One man, Eric Reisen, 22, was arrested after police established a perimeter in the residential neighborhood, KHQ reported.
Reisen attempted to take a woman hostage after breaking into two homes in the neighborhood trying to hide, police said. She was able to free herself.
Police recovered a gun believed to be the robbery weapon from the wrecked car.
