Obituary: Mccrite, John W.
Age 71
John was born in Avon, CO, on May 31, 1942, to Leslie and Matilda (Farris) McCrite.
John and his family moved to Post Falls, ID, and then moved to Rathdrum, ID, when he was in the 10th grade.
On September 1, 1961, he enlisted in to the US Navy.
John married Pearly Reynolds on September 9, 1962, at the Methodist Church in Rathdrum, ID.
They had three children: Kimberlee born May 5, 1963 in Coeur d’Alene, ID, Kelly born September 11, 1964 in San Diego, CA, and John born August 20, 1965 in San Diego, CA.
During his Navy career the family resided in San Diego, Point Mugu, CA, Japan, Nevada, then returned to San Diego, and Seattle.
He retired from the Navy and moved to Rathdrum in September of 1981.
John was a photographer in the Navy and worked for Wirsche Studio in Spokane.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.
John is survived by his wife, Pearly of Rathdrum, ID; three children: Kimberlee Curley of Rathdrum, ID, Kelly McCrite of Rathdrum, ID, and John and wife Carrie McCrite of Athol, ID; four grandchildren: Sean McCrite of Denver, CO, Kyle McCrite of Phoenix, AZ, April Oglesby of Rathdrum, ID, and Raychell Curley of Rathdrum, ID; Sister Edna Grytness and husband Giles; brother-in-law Mike Reynolds; mother-in-law Pearlie Reynolds; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
John is preceded in death by his parents; four siblings: Naomi, Wilma, Willie, and Betty.

Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls, ID.
A potluck reception will follow the service.
