Obituary: Hicks, Rodney Stewart

Age 43

HICKS, Rodney Stewart (Age 43) Rod Hicks passed away on August 28, 2013 at Kootenai Medical Center.

He was born in Auburn WA.

on October 09, 1969 to Roger and Carolynn Hicks.

Rod attended school in the Rathdrum area where he graduated from Lakeland High School.

He then joined the Air Force and proudly served his country for the next four years; after which he traveled the U.S. and settled in Ohio where he met his wife Tracy of fourteen years.

They then relocated to Spokane, WA.

and have since raised their four children Jessica Salcedo, Timothy, Tera and Tyler Hicks along with four grandchildren Kalara, Lexia, Trevon and Meya.

Rod has two brothers; Doug and Travis Hicks as well as four sisters; Jamy Wilcox, Shannon Vickrey, Candice Everest and Danielle Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carolynn.

Rod was employed as a Safety Director at Ground Force Manufacturing.

Rod’s family would like to thank his co-workers as well as Ground Force for their enormous support and help during this time.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home 1315 North Pines Road Spokane Valley, WA.

Following the Memorial Service, a Celebration of Life and Memory will be held at Terrace View Park located at 13525 E. 24th Ave. Spokane Valley, WA.
