She was born September 27, 1911 in Nuremberg, Germany.
As a child she loved summer vacations spent living in the German Countryside.
Her father came to America in 1923 to make a better life for his family.
In 1924 Greta, her sister Anna and mother Marguerite came to America by boat.
Greta was the only one who new any English as they traveled From New York to Spokane.
Greta worked for the Spokesman-Review for 30 years and was a 50 year member of the White Rose Chapter of the Eastern Star in Spokane.
She is survived by her son; Ken Jacobs (Charlene) of Rosalia, WA.
Grandchildren; Marc Jacobs (Pam) and Matt Jacobs (Monica) and great-grandchildren; Dalton, Dillion and Daphne Jacobs.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, at the IOOF Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia.
