Suspect arrested in connection with Sport Town burglaries

From staff reports
Spokane police have arrested a suspect in the burglary of a downtown athletic apparel store and recovered more than $1,000 worth of merchandise. Parish Tate, 20, is facing charges for possession of stolen property, a news release from the police department said. Sport Town, at 511 W. Main Ave., was burglarized on Friday and Saturday with items including shoes, socks, hats and other items stolen. The owner of Sport Town called police, saying he’d received a call from a “female” who said she knew who had committed the crime and where the stolen merchandise was located. Police responded to the address given and found Tate, the release said. They also recovered the stolen merchandise. Tate was booked into jail and was expected to appear in court Monday afternoon, the release said.
