Obituary: Flood, Lawrence Brent

FLOOD, Lawrence Brent Lawrence was born January 6, 1929 in Reardan, WA and was raised on a farm west of Davenport.

He graduated from Davenport High School.

He and his wife, Wanda, were married on October 7, 1950 for 63 years.

They farmed for 15 years north of Davenport on the Spokane River before selling the farm.

Lawrence went back to school to study electronics.

He was employed at Washington State University for 20 years in the Mechanical Engineering Department as an Electronic Technician and Instrument Maker.

He was a member of the Masonic Order and was Past Master of Whitman Lodge No.

31 and Past Patron of Eastern Star.

He enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Luke W. Flood and his mother, Lattie M. Willms.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Price; his daughter, Lucinda Flood; grandson, Bryan Morphis; aunt, Evelyn Willms and numerous cousins.

An avid Seahawks fan from the beginning of the team, he lived to see them win the Superbowl.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hospice of Spokane or Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Memorial services will be held at Rockwood Retirement Communities South, 2903 East 25th Ave Spokane WA 99223 on February 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
