Arrested Oklahoma State basketball player Stevie Clark was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of marijuana possession. Clark, a freshman backup point guard, is averaging 7.0 points for the No. 6 Cowboys. The Cowboys didn’t immediately comment on Clark’s arrest. Suspended Ohio State defensive end Noah Spence has been suspended for three games for violating an undisclosed Big Ten rule, meaning he will not play in the Orange Bowl on Friday night. Spence did not accompany the seventh-ranked Buckeyes to South Florida because of what the team called “a personal issue.” He also will sit out the first two games of next season. Spence was an All-Big Ten player this season, leading the team with eight sacks. Ohio State plays No. 12 Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

Stable Formula One great Michael Schumacher’s condition was stable but still critical overnight as he remained unconscious following a brain injury suffered in a skiing accident at Grenoble, France. A spokesman told reporters that his condition has not changed since doctors said he showed small signs of improvement on Tuesday, following his second operation.

Skipping Masters champion Adam Scott is taking a six-week break after Hawaii, meaning he will skip the Match Play Championship in Arizona. Scott is playing the Tournament of Champions at Kapalua and then Sony Open at Honolulu next week. He says he won’t play again until the Honda Classic, missing the entire West Coast swing. Scott enters the year at No. 2 in the world behind Tiger Woods.

Recovering Injured goaltender Roberto Luongo expects to soon return to the Vancouver Canucks lineup, a prognosis that suggests the injured goaltender would be ready to play for Canada at next month’s Sochi Olympics. Luongo took part in his first workout with the team on Wednesday since his “lower-body” injury Dec. 22 against Winnipeg.

Announced Boise State football coach Bryan Harsin has recently announced the addition of five more assistants. Harsin has chosen Kent Riddle to coach running backs and special teams. Eliah Drinkwitz is the tight ends coach. Defensive line coach is Steve Caldwell. Julius Brown was chosen to coach the secondary and serve as recruiting coordinator. Jeff Pitman was named strength and conditioning coach.
