Summer Horse and Carriage Rides Fridays in July and August, 5-9 p.m. The rides are first come, first serve. No reservations are required. Each guest will receive a complimentary flower from Peters and Sons Floral as they tour downtown Spokane in style. Sponsored by Spokane Teachers Credit Union. Main Avenue and Wall Street. Free.

Daily Lake History Cruise Lake Pend Oreille Cruises offers daily history cruise departing from Sandpoint City Beach at 1:30 p.m. and returning to port at 3 p.m. From submarines to star gazers, catastrophic ice age floods to a world record fishery, you will learn about the history and geology of Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho’s largest lake. Chataqua July 11-13. The park will be filled with food booths, art and craft vendors, carnival rides, free entertainment on CenterStage, and a beer garden. Activities for kids all weekend.
