Several Zags land tryouts

The NBA Summer League in Orlando, Florida is in full swing and the Las Vegas Summer League begins Friday with a scattering of Gonzaga University players expected to be on hand.

Kelly Olynyk scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Boston in the Celtics’ Orlando Summer League opener, an 85-77 win over Miami this past weekend. He is not expected to play again.

Five former Bulldogs are expected to play in Las Vegas.

Sam Dower Jr. is expected to play for Toronto, Steven Gray for Cleveland, Matt Bouldin for the NBA D-League Select Team, David Stockton for Phoenix and Elias Harris for Phoenix.

• The Los Angeles Clippers announced that first-round draft pick C.J. Wilcox, who played for the University of Washington, is injured and will not play in the summer league. He is recovering from a right shoulder injury.
