WSU women play Oregon in 1st round
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Washington State will face Oregon in the opening round of the Pac-12 women’s basketball tournament at KeyArena in Seattle, the conference office announced Sunday.
The Cougars (15-15, 9-9 Pac-12) enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 10 seeded Ducks (15-14, 6-12 Pac-12) Thursday at 6 p.m.
Washington State split the two meetings with Oregon this season, with each team claiming home wins. The winner will face No. 2 seed California Friday at 6 p.m.
No. 6 Washington (17-12, 10-8) faces No. 11 Utah (11-18, 4-14) in Thursday’s late game (8:30 p.m.) The winner of that one will play No. 3 Oregon State (21-9, 13-5) on Friday night at 8:30.
Every tournament game will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks until Sunday’s championship game, which will be televised by ESPN.
