RUBENS, Marvin Z.

(Age 88) Passed away May 12, 2014.

Born in Spokane January 28, 1926 to Joesph and Bessie Rubens.

Marvin attended Lewis and Clark H.S.

and the University of Washington where he met his wife Lois of 66 years.

Marvin served in U.S. Army Air Corp and with his brother Dick ran the family business, Metallic Arts for 66 years.

Survived by his wife Lois, son Michael and daughter Barilyn.

Three granddaughters, Rebecca, Stacie and Jody.

Four great-grandchildren, Rylie, Max, Tyler and Henley.

Two nieces Peri and Lisa and three nephews Brian, Alan and Scott.

Brother Richard Rubens, sister-in-law Muriel Rubens and sister-in-law Naomi Strauss, and cousin Jean Swartz.

Preceded by brother-in-law David Strauss.

Marvin’s accomplishments include: Serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp WW II, President of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity Sigma Nu Chapter, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington, President Spokane Construction Council, Pres.

Spokane Hillyard Rotary Club, Pres.

Lilac Festival Assoc., Board Member Spokane Chamber of Commerce, Pres.

Deaconess Hospital Foundation, Honored Man of the Year Award Deaconess Hospital Foundation, Member Advisory Board Deaconess Hospital, Pres.

Nebo Cemetery.
