Proposal would add $1 emergency services fee to Gorge tickets
GEORGE, Wash. – A state legislator wants to add $1 to tickets at The Gorge Amphitheater to help pay for emergency services on concert weekends.
Rep. Matt Manweller, R-Ellensburg, says the money raised through a bill he’ll introduce later this year would be split between the small hospital and fire districts that serve the area.
The Columbia Basin Herald reported that last year, concert- and festivalgoers racked up more than $400,000 in unpaid bills at Quincy Valley Medical Center.
