Sounders hope Rapids don’t turn things around Sunday

Seattle Sounders FC is about to play a team that seems in freefall. Yes, again. Last weekend it was Chivas USA, whose troubles continued with a 4-2 loss at Seattle. Today ( noon, Root), the Sounders will visit the Colorado Rapids, who are winless over their last 10 games. Eight of those have been losses. “We’ve got to win – just like any other game,” Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin said. “It’s crucial these last four games, especially for the Supporters Shield race. So we have the same mindset we’ve had this whole year: just to win.” The Sounders have done that, 18 times this season, more often than any other team in Major League Soccer. – Don Ruiz, Tacoma News Tribune
