Woman killed in crash with Grant County Deputy identified

A woman is dead after a collision with a Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy on Dodson Road near Road 5 NW just before 10 a.m. today. The woman has been identified as McKenna B. Fuglie, 22, of Ephrata, according to the Washington State Patrol, which is investigating the incident. Fuglie was driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee east on Road 5 NW and Deputy Tyson J. Voss, 39, was driving a Chevy pickup south on Dodson Road. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. The cause of the crash is under investigation, the WSP said. Voss is in stable condition at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Fuglie died at the scene. “This is a heartbreaking day for all parties involved,” said Sheriff Tom Jones in a statement. “We wish to extend our sincerest condolences, as well as prayers for strength, to the families sadly and tragically affected by today’s horrible accident.”
