Obituary: Defrancesco, Angeline

Age 103

DeFRANCESCO, Angeline (Age 103) Angeline passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on September 16, 2014.

She was born on May 19, 1911 to Frank and Angela (Gallo) Talarico in Spokane, WA.

She attended Sheridan Grade School and worked with her father at Armour Meat Packaging in which they would walk to from their home on 5th and Thor every day.

Angeline married James DeFrancesco in 1930 in Kellogg, Idaho and had one son, Pat.

They owned a shopping center near their home on Thor which included many stores over the years; DeFranc’s confectioners, a hardware store, drug store, the Benewah Creamery, a barber shop and a shoe store.

Angeline loved to cook spaghetti every Sunday for the family meal and enjoyed working in her garden.

The family had a lake cabin at Newman Lake and they spent many summers there enjoying BBQs with friends and family.

She was well loved, very soft hearted, and good to everyone she met.

The family would like to thank the staff at Horizon Hospice, especially Sonya, who took care of Angeline Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

They also appreciate Irene, Karen, Jill, Audrey, and the entire staff for their thoughtfulness.

Angeline is survived by her son Pat, who was the love of her life; four grandchildren, Jim, Jeanie and her loving husband Mike, whom Angeline adored, Sherri, and Kelly; and her loving dog Mickey who already misses her so much.

She especially loved how her granddaughters Jeanie and Sherri took such good care of her.

She is preceded in death by her husband James, two brothers John and Joe, four sisters Amarie, Helen, Rosie, and Lucille.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 11am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 5021 N. Nelson, followed by a private entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
