Obituary: Mcwold, Norman Leslie, Jr.

McWOLD, Norman Leslie, Jr. 76 Years of Life A longtime resident of the Denison area of Deer Park, Washington, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014.

He is the loving husband of Marjorie L. McWold, married forty-eight years, and the dear father of Lee McWold and Debra Hawley.

He enjoyed four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Norman is a brother to Carolyn Stenzel and Shirley Royer of Spokane and Ron McWold of New Jersey.

Born in 1938 at Spokane, Norman attended Lewis & Clark High School and joined the United States Coast Guard in 1954 seeing sea duty in the Pacific patrolling between Hawaii and Alaska.

Upon returning from military duty, Norman was employed at Jensen-Byrd where he eventually became the traffic manager.

He then became office manager of Duerr, Inc., a log-splitting manufacturer.

Norman was a real-estate agent for many years with Coldwell-Banker in Spokane.

As a charter member of F.O.

of Eagles, Aerie 3564, Norman helped to establish the lodge in Deer Park in 1974 where he was President 1983-84 and then served as secretary for the next twenty-five years.

A “Celebration of Life” service honoring Norman, followed with a potluck reception will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Deer Park Eagles Lodge.
