UO prof stabbed
EUGENE – The head of the University of Oregon’s physics department has been hospitalized after he was stabbed. Authorities say his wife has been arrested.
The Register-Guard reported that 57-year-old Regina Claypool-Frey was arrested early Thursday for investigation of first-degree assault, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police declined to discuss the severity of Raymond Frey’s injuries but said he was conscious and able to speak.
The stabbing was reported about 2 a.m. Thursday.
