Spokane asking residents to clear storm drains, report large puddles

Spokane wastewater management crews are working to clear storm drains and large puddles following a record-setting day of rain.

Large puddles can be reported to the city wastewater management department at (509) 625-7900 during business hours or (509) 625-7800 after hours, city of Spokane Community Programs Coordinator Jackie Caro said in a post on Nextdoor.com.

Drivers should slow down around standing water and try to avoid puddles when possible. In residential areas, residents are asked to clear debris and leaves from storm drains where possible to keep water flowing.
