Wilber-Creston girls defeat Kettle Falls in overtime in NE 2B tiebreaker

Karlee Maioho scored six of her 21 points in overtime to lead Wilbur-Creston to a 68-61 girls basketball victory over Kettle Falls at Hunters in a Northeast 2B tiebreaker on Monday night.

Wilbur-Creston faces Colfax at Reardan on Wednesday night in the opening round of districts. The season ends for Kettle Falls.

With five seconds remaining in regulation, Kettle Falls’ Daisy Hamilton ran the court and was fouled on a 3-point attempt. She sank all three free throws with no time left to force overtime.

Emily Starzman added 18 points for Wilbur-Creston.

Erin Johnson made 8 of 8 free throws on her way to a team-high 15 points for Kettle Falls. Hamilton finished with 13 points.
