Four corners: Gonzaga Bulldogs
Coming up: Tonight at Santa Clara, 8 p.m. (ESPN2); Saturday at USF, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN2)
Outlook: The Zags beat Santa Clara by 22 and San Francisco by 31 last month in Spokane, but they always seem to have their hands full on the road against these Bay Area schools. Sam Dower Jr.’s 3-pointer gave GU a 54-52 win at the Leavey Center a year ago. Broncos guards Brandon Clark and Jared Brownridge combine for 30 points per game. Freshman forward Matt Hubbard, a Colville High product who scored 15 points against Gonzaga last month, averages 7.5 points. The Zags have won nine straight in the series and 31 of the last 33. The Dons have lost three in a row by a combined 13 points. Forwards Kruize Pinkins (15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds) and Mark Tollefsen (14.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg) lead the offense.
