Obituary: Dopkins, Kenneth Fredrick “Rick”

DOPKINS, Kenneth Fredrick “Rick” (Age 49) Our beloved Rick unexpectedly left this world on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 and was welcomed into heaven by his Lord and Savior and into the arms of his loving mother, Christy L. Bates.

He was an amazing human being who was loved by so many.

Rick was born on March 17, 1965 to Michael C. Dopkins and Christy L. Bates in Spokane, WA.

He is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Breanna C. Krogh and Krystal Olsen; his four sisters, Tamera “Sissy” Ferguson (Bret), Brenda Braten (Bill), Barbara Ericsson (Joe) and Tracy MacLean; his brother, Shane Bates; his four grandchildren, Kyra, Berlin, Cruz and Ryder; his stepmother, Janet MacLean (Rod) and his stepfather, Lonny Bates.

Although he loved all, he had a very special bond with niece, Brittney “Smiley”; nephew, Levi; and cousin, Kareshia “Keesh”.

Not to forget the love of his life Minnie, his dog.

To know him is to love him.

A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.
