Blood clots on lung end NBA season for Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh

 (Associated Press)

All-Star forward Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat will miss at least the remainder of the season because of blood clots on one of his lungs. The team said he is receiving care guided by Heat physicans at a South Florida hospital and resting comfortably. Bosh sought treatment on Thursday after not feeling well for several days. He averaged 21.1 points and seven rebounds this season, his first in a five-year, $118 million contract with the Heat. “Chris is OK and his prognosis is good,” the Heat said in a statement. Bosh is the second NBA player whose final game this season was the All-Star Game. New York’s Carmelo Anthony was shut down for knee surgery earlier in the week, a move that was long expected.
