Obituary: Anderson, Dennis Wayne

Age 76

ANDERSON, Dennis Wayne January 11, 1939 to January 21, 2015) Dennis passed away peacefully at age 76 after fighting a long courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born in Hamilton, Montana, grew up in Spokane, graduated from North Central High School in 1957 where he excelled in music, dance, and theater.

After graduation he served with the Marines at Camp Pendleton as a U.S. Navy Corpsman.

After an honorable discharge from the Military in 1959, he returned to Spokane where he worked in sales, insurance, marketing, and advertising.

In 1964, he moved to Seattle where he accepted an executive position with Blue Cross as director of Public Relations.

Dennis was entrepreneurial in spirit and eventually developed his own company specializing in new and innovative business ideas with associate offices throughout the U.S. and Canada and from Manhattan to Honolulu.

Dennis was gifted with many talents, among them art and poetry.

He received three top awards for voice at the Spokane Music Festival.

He loved to read, was an avid angler and fished many of the nation’s great steelhead rivers.

Dennis will be remembered with deep love and greatly missed by family and all those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Ladonia Anderson of Spokane, his two sons Daniel T. (Barbara) Anderson of Spokane, and Jesse D. Anderson of Woodinville, WA, and by his daughter Jennifer D. Anderson of Lynnwood, WA.

His son David G. Anderson preceded him in death, as did his sister, Jeannie V. Grambo, and his parents, Helen and Andy Anderson.

Services will be held at a later date.
