Health care

Alan Curryer has been named a recipient of the Leadership Award from Caring Communities in recognition for his 10 years of service, as well as the Award of Honor from LeadingAge Washington, the nonprofit’s highest recognition. Curryer is president and chief executive officer of Rockwood Retirement Communities. He has been with the senior living community for 24 years.

Christ Clinic/Christ Kitchen has named Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML) as the first recipient of the Distinguished Ministry Partner Award. The award was given in recognition of PAML’s extraordinary support for the ministry’s mission to provide discounted medical and behavioral health care and employment for those living in poverty.

Hospitality

Hampton Inn Spokane Airport has received the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame from TripAdvisor for excellence in hospitality and consistently achieving great traveler reviews. This is the fifth consecutive year that the hotel received the Certificate of Excellence. In addition, TripAdvisor ranked the hotel No. 2 out of 46 hotels in Spokane.

Law

Ryan Yahne has been elected president of the Spokane County Bar Association for the 2015-16 term. Yahne is a real estate and construction attorney with the law firm Piskel Yahne Kovarik.

Paine Hamblen LLP has named Scott C. Cifrese as a managing partner. Cifrese has been practicing law with the firm since 1999 and was named a partner in 2005. In addition, William J. Schroeder and Eric J. Sachtjen have been elected to Paine Hamblen’s executive committee.

Super Lawyers magazine has named Kenneth B. Howard as a 2015 Super Lawyer and Scott A. Gingras as a 2015 Rising Star for the Mountain States region. Howard and Gingras are principals with Winston & Cashatt. Super Lawyers recognizes attorneys based on peer recognition and professional achievement.

Marketing

14Four has hired Taylor Klundt as an art director and Jim Philp as a frontend developer. Previously, Klundt was with Seven2 from 2013 to 2015. He has experience in online game design, website and banner design. Philp was previously with North by Northwest and Seven2 and has experience in design and development for digital advertising.

Avista earned the Best in Show award in print advertising from Utility Communicators International in the 2015 Better Communications Contest for its “125 Years and Counting” campaign. Other awards were given as follows: Gold Award, Employee Communications Campaign “125 Years and Counting”; Silver Award, Complete Campaign “125 Years and Counting”; Silver Award, Special Publications “Hydro Cube.”

Keller Williams Realty Coeur d’Alene has been ranked in Top 1,000 national real estate brokerage firms in RISMedia’s 27th Annual Power Broker Report. The ranking is based on a national survey of residential real estate brokerage firms according to closed transaction numbers and closed sales volume.
