Shadow cruise to win over Bellingham

Chance Bukoski had a goal and an assist and the Spokane Shadow scored four unanswered goals to roll to a 4-1 victory over Bellingham United in Evergreen Premier League soccer play Saturday night at Spokane Falls CC. Carlos Badillo scored in the 33rd minute to give winless Bellingham (0-9) a 1-0 lead, but it was all Spokane after that. Karl Muelheims – with an assist from Bukoski – pulled the Shadow even with four minutes left in the first half. Bukoski gave the Shadow the lead for good with a goal 11 minutes into the second half. Halvor Mikkelsen found the net in the 59th minute and Jesse Retan did the same in the 72nd to cap Spokane’s scoring. Spokane improved to 5-1-2 (17 points) and sits in third place behind Vancouver (21) and South Sound (20).
