Obituary: Keeling, Joyce

KEELING, Joyce (Age 83) Joyce was born January 11, 1932 in Spokane, WA to Fred and Edna Brooks.

She resided in Priest Lake, ID for most of her childhood.

Joyce married Jim Keeling in 1950, and began their lives in Spokane Valley where they raised three girls together.

Joyce worked for the Spokane Valley Herald, Newberry’s and co-owned All Valley Properties with her husband until their retirement.

Joyce’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by three brothers, Jack, Dave and Ralph Brooks; her three daughters and their husbands, Cheri and John Warren, Kathi and Dennis Lydeen, and Sandi and Gordy Oberst; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial celebrating Joyce’s life will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Valley Eagles.
