Blues legend B.B. King is in home hospice care in Las Vegas, according to his official website. The announcement was made Friday with the message: “Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers.”

The 89-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee was hospitalized last month because of dehydration caused by his type 2 diabetes, his daughter Claudette said.

King, born in Mississippi, began his recording career in the 1940s and has released more than 50 albums, according to his official website. His hits include the 1950s R&B piece “Three O’Clock Blues,” 1970’s “The Thrill Is Gone” and 1989’s “When Love Comes to Town,” a collaboration with U2.

Jenner sued for wrongful death claim

The stepchildren of a woman killed in an automobile crash involving Bruce Jenner sued the Olympic gold medalist Friday for wrongful death, claiming they have suffered enormous damages.

The lawsuit provides no new details about the February crash, which authorities said occurred when Jenner’s sport utility vehicle collided with the woman’s car, pushing it into oncoming traffic. Kim Howe, 69, died at the scene.

The lawsuit by Dana Redmond and William Howe does not specify how much they are seeking. They claim Jenner was negligent when he collided with their stepmother’s car, causing them and other relatives “great losses.”

Jenner, 65, has not been charged in the case. An investigation is ongoing.

A week ago, millions of people watched Jenner tell Diane Sawyer in a TV interview that he identifies as a woman and has felt gender confusion since he was a boy. He said he had not yet decided whether to undergo sexual reassignment surgery, but for the time being wanted to be referred to using male pronouns.

Injured, Spears to miss concert dates

Britney Spears has canceled several dates of her “Piece of Me” concert residency in Las Vegas after slipping and injuring her foot onstage.

The 33-year-old singer was performing her set Wednesday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino when, after a brief jump, she landed hard on her left ankle and twisted it.

Video from the incident indicated that she was in significant pain as she performed, but she continued to play through the set.

Later, though, Spears posted to Instagram, noting that her doctors had advised canceling two shows to give her time to recover. Dates for rescheduling of the missed concerts have not been announced.
