Obituary: Melendez, Tina Beverly (Davis)
Age 60
Tina grew up in Spokane, Washington and called it home, where she graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1973.
Tina told wonderful, humorous stories and you could never quite tell what was true and what was embellished, but they always brought you a smile.
Her grandchildren were always first in her heart, she also loved her church and her garden.
She held several jobs, caring for special-needs children and loved the work she did, whether teaching a new skill or just to bring a smile to their face.
Tina is survived by her children, Lisandra Harper and Michael Torres; her grandchildren: Riley, Korrah, Kysaleigh, and Kristopher Harper and Brody Torres.
She also leaves behind her siblings: Frances Beason, Georgeann Dahlen and Ken Davis of Spokane, Washington and Adele Ducharme of Kansas City, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Witham, father, Kenneth Davis and sisters Dorothy Davis and Jacqueline Hone.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 7th, 2015, at 12:00 noon, at River Christian Church, 5201 N. Market St., Spokane, WA 99217.
A potluck reception will follow the service.
