Obituary: Teague, Lem “Robert”

Age 87

TEAGUE, Lem “Robert” (Age 87) Robert Teague of Spokane Valley, WA., passed away at Hospice House of Spokane the evening of October 23, 2015, surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Betty Teague who resides in the Spokane Valley; his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Cheryl Teague of Williston, N.D; daughter Karlene and son-in-law Dean Meakin of Newman Lake; and daughter Lisa Bozarth of the Spokane Valley.

Robert enjoyed his time with his grandchildren, Aubrie Vermillion, Ross Teague, Heidi Sedra, Alicia Coy, Joel and Austin Bozarth, and his 11 great-grandchildren.

Robert was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on September 9, 1928.

His family moved to Mallot, Washington while he was a young boy and he always considered it “home”.

He was persuaded to move to Spokane by his lifelong friend Ernie Dinger 60 years ago.

Betty and Robert raised their family in the Spokane Valley on a three acre farm.

Robert was proud of his 42 yearlong employment with the railroad as an engineer (hoghead).

He began this fulfilling career in Spokane with the Great Northern, eventually retiring from Burlington Northern.

After retirement he and Betty toured the US in their RV.

They especially enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking with family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday the 29th.

The church is located at 3598 N. Harvard Rd.
