The Dirt: Cedar Village apartment complex sold

A company in Longview, Washington, has purchased the Cedar Village apartment complex in north Spokane for $2.7 million.

Alder Terrace Apartments LLC bought the property at 8805 N. Colton St. from seller Wilson Vivos Trust. The transaction closed Oct. 23.

Cedar Village is a 65-unit apartment complex with one- and two-bedroom units, north of Magnesium Road and east of Division Street.

Joel Crosby of Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Commercial was the listing agent. Jason Waxberg of Equity Pacific Real Estate in Portland was the selling agent.

Paulsen building project begins

A fifth-floor project for the Paulsen Center in downtown Spokane will convert 9,500 square feet from a single-tenant area to multiple single-tenant spaces.

Construction Associates Spokane is the contractor for a $330,000 project at 421 W. Riverside Ave.

Separately, Gobel Law Office PLLC has expanded its office space in the Paulsen Center and is leasing 1,000 square feet. The practice includes a focus in family law and domestic relations, along with business matters and collections.

Lawn care company takes space on East Trent

Arborpro Lawn & Tree Care LLC has leased nearly 3,000 square feet of retail space at 3324 and 3338 E. Trent Ave.

The site previously was occupied by AmeriGas for more than 50 years.

Jody Johnson of Black Commercial was an agent involved in the transaction.

Meridian to build Kennewick fire station

Meridian Construction Inc. of Spokane was awarded a $3.2 million contract to build a fire station for the city of Kennewick. The 12,500-square-foot facility will include four apparatus bays, offices, crew living spaces and support areas.

Meridian has built several fire stations for the Spokane Valley Fire Department in recent years.
