10 under $10: Entertainment on a budget

2. Comedian John Maucere Friday and Saturday, North Idaho College, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Star of the family movie “No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie,” the deaf comedian will make three appearances. Friday at 4 p.m., he will teach a workshop on ASL poetry, not voice interpreted. After the workshop, he will attend the local social group Deaf Coffee Night. On Saturday, Maucere will be performing two voice interpreted shows. The first, “SuperDeafy,” is an in-character performance intended for children and families and will be performed at 2 p.m. at NIC’s Christianson Gym. His second show is his stand-up comedy and will take place at 7 p.m. in NIC’s Schuler Auditorium. Stand-up comedy is rated PG as there are some adult references.
