Board meetings for the Environmental Working Group just a got a little more glam: Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has joined the group’s board of directors. The onetime Catwoman will help steer the Washington-based greenie group, which focuses on harmful ingredients found in consumer products.

In a statement, Pfeiffer said she has come to rely on EWG’s research “to help my family avoid toxic chemicals.

”Now more than ever, we need EWG to lead the fight for a clean environment in Washington,“ she said.

Also joining the board is Meg Hirshberg, wife of organic-yogurt-maker Stoneyfield Farm co-founder Gary Hirshberg.
