Accounting

Nicholas Knapton, P.S. has hired Rachelle Sorensen as billing support and assistant and Lindsey White as support staff and assistant. Sorensen was previously with the Deer Park School District, and White was with Numerica Credit Union. The firm also promoted Emily Wright from supervisor to manager

Architecture

Bernardo|Wills Architects hired Timothy J. White as an architect and Erik Nelson as a project manager. White has 40 years of architectural design experience and was previously with ZBA Architecture. He is currently working with Fairchild Air Force Base’s 92nd Civil Engineering Squadron on renovations of the Survival School’s gymnasium. Nelson is currently working on a tenant improvement at Spokane International Airport and a medical office building in Kendall Yards. Previously, Nelson was with Horty Elving in Minneapolis.

ALSC Architects has hired Sheila Boyce as an interior designer and Forest Wilson as a revit specialist in the Spokane office. Boyce has more than 27 years of experience in her field, including educational, medical, corporate, retail and residential design. Wilson is currently working on the Washington State University Soccer Stadium in Pullman and the North Idaho College Student Wellness and Recreation Center in Coeur d’Alene.

Construction

Mike Ridlehoover, superintendent at Edwards Smith Construction, has earned certification as a Passive House Institute US Certified Builder. This certification demonstrates knowledge of energy-saving passive building technology.

Culinary

Hagadone Hospitality Co. has named Rick Powers as the director of food and beverage. Powers was previously with ICON as the chief operating officer and managing partner of Tadich Grill Development Co.

Education

Danial Baker has been appointed to the Medicare Model Guidelines subcommittee and the Model Guidelines for All Marketed Products expert panel of the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention’s Healthcare Quality Expert Committee. Baker is an associate dean and professor at the Washington State University College of Pharmacy.

Finance

Amber Marlow has joined RW Baird as a financial adviser and partnered with David Himebaugh to create the Himebaugh Marlow Group.

Manufacturing

Tom Curtiss has been named a “Rising Star” by the Agriculture Retailers Association in recognition of his exemplary leadership qualities at the organization’s annual conference. Curtiss is an account manager for International Raw Materials Ltd.

Non-profit

Sean Stevenson has been named a recipient of the 2015 SourceAmerica Evelyne Villines Award for the Northwest Region in recognition of his career advancement. This award is given to an individual with a significant disability who has advanced to a management position. Stevenson has been with Skils’kin since 2007 and currently serves as a grounds supervisor at the company’s AbilityOne grounds contract with the U.S. Border Patrol.

The Blood Center Foundation of the Inland Northwest has announced that $108,941 in grant investments were made in 2015 to advance education, technology and research for blood banking and transfusion medicine.
