Powerball ticket sold in northern Idaho worth $150,000

Associated Press

BOISE – The Idaho Lottery says a Powerball ticket sold in northern Idaho is worth $150,000 in Wednesday’s drawing.

The lottery says one of winning tickets was sold in Kootenai County. The winner matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball. The ticket also had a PowerPlay option that turned the $50,000 prize into $150,000.

Idaho Lotter Director Jeff Anderson on Thursday urged those who played Powerball in the northern Idaho area to check their tickets. He said that in addition to the big winner, there were 6,500 winning tickets in Idaho that won prizes worth $190,000.

Powerball is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
