Kitten rescued after being thrown from moving car on I-84

Associated Press

NAMPA, Idaho – After a harrowing start in life, a tiny gray kitten has lived up to her new name: Lucky.

Nampa Police said a Wednesday night 911 caller reported that someone threw a kitten out of a moving vehicle and onto Interstate 84. Officers Garrett Tillitt and Chris Orvis were able to rescue the kitty before passing cars put her life in jeopardy.

The officers brought the cat back to the station and made sure she was OK before naming her Lucky.

Less than a day later, Lucky found what Orvis called a “purrfect, pardon the pun, forever home.”

Nampa officers said they are looking for the person responsible for endangering Lucky. They said the person was in a light-colored two-door pickup truck and heading west.
