Impact player: Gonzaga’s Przemek Karnowski

Przemek Karnowski, Sr., Center

Karnowski is still returning to form from back surgery but he’s made considerable progress. Nobody on roster knows Gonzaga’s system as well as the 7-foot-1, 300-pound center. His post-up ability puts foul pressure on opposing front lines. He’s a capable scorer on the low block. He stretches the floor for teammates when double-teamed, which is often. He’s a willing passer not afraid to throw no-look or behind-the-back (twice vs. UCLA in 2015 NCAA Tournament).

The big man helps teammates by being able to defend centers one-on-one while providing rim protection. He usually avoids foul trouble, which was a problem earlier in his career.
