Women’s volleyball: No. 10 WSU suffers first Pac-12 defeat

No. 20 Oregon handed the 10th-ranked Washington State women’s volleyball team its first Pac-12 loss this season, sweeping the Cougars 25-21, 25-10, 25-14 in Eugene on Sunday.

Kyra Holt had nine kills to move into third place on the Cougars’ all-time list with 1,535. Holt and Alexis Dirige had 10 digs each and Claire Martin four blocks. WSU (15-3, 5-1) hit only .056 to .386 for the Cougars (12-3, 5-1).

No. 8 Washington (14-2, 4-2) defeated Oregon State (8-9, 1-5) 26-24, 25-17, 26-24, 25-12 in Corvallis, Oregon with Courtney Schwan leading the Huskies with 21 kills.
