DAR, SAR to observe Constituation Day
The Esther Reed Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Spokane Sons of the American Revolution will hold an observance of Constitution Day at Manito Park at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The organizations will put on a costumed re-enactment of the creation and signing of the Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.
The event will take place at the George Washington Monument located adjacent to the Park Bench Cafe.
The event is free and open to the public and is a great family opportunity to learn about the nation’s history, organizers said.
The DAR has 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters.
