Spokane Valley nonprofit grant money available; applications are underway

UPDATED: Wed., Aug. 2, 2017, 3:16 p.m.

Nonprofit organizations that provide economic development activities or social services for residents in Spokane Valley, may apply for grants from the city before Aug. 11.

This competitive process comes around once a year and is an opportunity for youth programs, arts organizations and other organizations that help low-income residents to apply for city funding.

Organizations that have not previously applied are encouraged to try.

During a Spokane Valley City Council meeting later this year, those who qualify for the grants will be asked to make a brief presentation about their organization and the purpose of the grant funds they would receive.

Applications must be received by 4 p.m. Aug. 11.
