Area women: Bri King scores 24 points to help CC Spokane down Yakima Valley

Bri King scored 24 points, Cali Moscrip added 20 and visiting CC Spokane (19-3, 10-1) downed Yakima Valley (13-9, 4-6) 78-65 on Saturday in Northwest Athletic Conference action.

King went 6 of 13 from the field with four 3-pointers and 8 of 8 from the line. Moscrip went 6 of 9, including 3 of 5 beyond the arc, and grabbed 12 rebounds. Katlyn Ward added 10 points before fouling out.

Sammi Blodgett paced Yakima Valley with 27 points and Sequoia Swan added 15.

CCS, first place in the East Region, led 36-30 at intermission and opened it up with a 19-9 run in the third quarter.

Treasure Valley 74, North Idaho 57: Chelsee Baker scored 17 points and the Chukars (14-8, 6-5) topped the Cardinals (11-10, 4-6) in Ontario, Oregon.

Gentry Oldham scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting while Markee Kimball and Ashley Wheatley added 10 points apiece. Treasure Valley shot 46 percent overall and hit 7 of 17 from beyond the arc.

Shayna Allert led NIC with 13 points. Giavanna Sorn added nine points and eight rebounds.
