Detectives are looking for one or more motorists who stopped to help a man driving a blue 1998 Ford Ranger with a canopy in the area of Prairie Avenue between Highway 53 and Highway 41 in December 2015.

The driver of the truck had lost several 5-gallon buckets from the bed of his truck, buckets that investigators believe contained cement and evidence related to the murder of Bret Snow, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives want to speak to the good Samaritans who stopped to help load the heavy buckets back into the truck.

Investigators received a tip that evidence relating to the murder was encased in concrete inside the buckets.

Anyone with information about the buckets is asked to call Det. Lyle Johnston at (509) 477-3191.

In December Colby D. Vodder was arrested in Post Falls on suspicion of murdering Snow, who was reported missing by his family in December 2015. His phone last pinged at a home in the 7800 block of North Starr Road on Dec. 2, 2015. Snow’s blood was later found at the scene, according to court documents.

Vodder is in the Spokane County Jail on $1 million bond awaiting trial on a charge of second-degree murder.
