From staff reports

An Idaho Falls man drove over an embankment on state Highway 200 early Saturday morning, injuring himself and four passengers.

Joseph R. Tucker, 53, of Idaho Falls, crossed the center line east of Ponderay, Idaho, and drove off the eastbound edge of the highway, the Idaho State Police said. Tucker continued over Hidden Harbor Lane and went down the embankment. The accident occurred at about 5:30 a.m.

One juvenile male was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center by Life Flight, ISP officials said. Everyone else was transported to Bonner General Hospital.

Tucker was wearing a seat belt, but it wasn’t clear if the passengers were. Police are continuing to investigate.
