Game 60: The Seattle Mariners (29-30) host the Minnesota Twins (29-25) in the second of a three-game series at 7:10 p.m. at Safeco Field.

The Mariners pounded the Twins 12-3 in the opener on Tuesday.

The Mariners have won a season-high-tying four straight games. It is the fourth four-game winning streak for Seattle this season. Over the last nine games, the Mariners are averaging 7.7 runs per game (69 runs) while batting .353 as a team.

Transaction: The Mariners signed shortstop Jean Segura to a five-year contract extension, reportedly for $70 million, with a club option for ’23 at $17 million.

Segura, 27, who is currently on the 10-day disabled list, leads the A.L. with a .341 average. He’s hit 10 doubles, four homers and has 20 RBIs with seven stolen bases. Segura led the N.L. in hits last season with 203.

In 1995, Trailing 2-0 after seven innings and having just two singles in the game, the Mariners erupted for a nine-run eighth inning at Baltimore. Edgar Martinez’ second career grand slam highlighted the 10-2 victory.
