Spokane Chiefs 2017 preseason schedule announced

From wire reports

As announced by the Western Hockey League on Wednesday, the Spokane Chiefs’ 2017 preseason schedule will include seven games beginning Sept. 1 against Portland at Everett’s Xfinity Arena.

Spokane will participate in Everett’s annual preseason tournament over Labor Day Weekend, facing the Winterhawks on Friday, the Vancouver Giants on Saturday and the Seattle Thunderbirds on Sunday.

The Chiefs will then compete at the Tri-City Americans’ preseason tournament in Kennewick, taking on Portland once again on Sept. 7 and Seattle on Sept. 8 before their first head-to-head matchup with the Americans on Sept. 9.

Spokane will close out the league’s preseason schedule on Sept. 16 when they face the Americans again in Kennewick. The Chiefs will not host a 2017 WHL preseason game.

The 2017-18 WHL regular season schedule, including all 72 Chiefs games (36 home), will be unveiled in late June.
