Man charged with attempted strangulation after attack

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – An Idaho man accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of his 10-month-old daughter was charged with attempted strangulation of a woman following an attack.

The Times-News reported that the Twin Falls man was arrested Friday after authorities said he tackled a woman and placed her in a choke hold causing injury last week. Authorities say the woman was in fear of her life as well as the life of her 3-year-old son who witnessed the attack.

The man has a court date scheduled next month on the charge accusing him of leaving his daughter unattended in a hot car for hours in June. Authorities say the child died because of the elevated temperatures.

Authorities say the man was out on bond when the attack occurred.
