Girls soccer roundup: Chloe Gellhaus scores in East Valley win over Cheney

East Valley 4, Cheney 1: Chloe Gellhaus opened the scoring in the 36th minute and added three assists as East Valley (4-1, 3-0) coasted to a 4-1 victory over visiting Cheney (2-3, 0-2) in a Great Northern League game on Thursday. Makenna Benson scored Cheney’s lone goal in the 47th minute.

Pullman 2, West Valley 1: Abby Tingstad scored in the 32nd minute and added an assist in the 51st minute as Pullman (2-3, 1-2) beat visiting West Valley (1-4, 1-2) 2-1 in a GNL game. Madeline Liberg scored in the 69th minute for the Eagles.

Freeman 6, Newport 0: Kylie Nelson scored twice, Brynn Van Orden had two assists and Freeman (3-0, 2-0) beat visiting Newport (0-4, 0-4) 6-0. Peyton Brewer had a goal and an assist for the Scotties.
