Three motorcyclists involved in chain reaction crash

Three motorcycles ran into the back of a car in a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 90 near the Division Street exit just before 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

Eastbound traffic approaching the exit was slowing for a disabled vehicle. In the right lane, 19-year-old Sierra J. Biddle of Spokane brought her Hyundai Elantra to a stop behind a Dodge Avenger driven by 29-year-old Jennifer M. Slee of Lewiston, who was also stopped.

According to the Washington State Patrol, three motorcycles failed to stop and ran into the back of Biddle’s car, pushing it into Slee’s vehicle.

Neither Biddle nor Slee was injured, but all three motorcyclists were taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center. They have been identified as 52-year-old Joseph A. Alvarez of Pasco, 49-year-old Lynda K. DeGraff of Pasco and 26-year-old Wesly E. Roberson of Kennewick. All three were wearing helmets, according to WSP.

The three motorcyclists were cited for following too close.
