Girls basketball: Liberty downs Lind-Ritzville/Sprague to stay alive in 2B

Maisie Burnham scored 24 points and Liberty (15-8) downed Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (13-11) 61-36 in the District 7 2B bracket at West Valley on Thursday.

Aleena Cook added 16 points for Liberty, which will play St. George’s on Saturday with a berth to state on the line.

Peyton Curtis led Lind-Ritzville/Sprague with 15 points.

St. George’s 42, Northwest Christian 39: Daysha Melendez notched 14 points with 16 rebounds, Ceci Berquist added 10 points and the Dragons (17-6) held off the Crusaders (18-7) to keep their season alive.

Natalie Smith scored 14 points and Mattea Nelson had 13 for Northwest Christian.
