Girls basketball: Almira/Coulee-Hartline wins District 7 1B title

Gabi Isaak scored 17 points and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (21-2) defeated Curlew (14-7) 52-38 for the District 7 1B title at Deer Park HS on Friday. Korin Baker scored 19 points to lead Curlew, which plays Selkirk in a loser-out for second place on Saturday.

Selkirk 64, Inchelium 55: Gabi Rick scored 25 points and the Rangers (20-4) eliminated the Hornets (17-7). Meika Heath led Inchelium with 34 points.

District 9 1B

Colton 45, Pomeroy 33: Emily Schultheis scored 17 points and the Wildcats (19-1) defeated the Pirates (17-5) for the district title at Walla Walla CC. Maddy Dixon scored 12 points with 17 rebounds for Pomeroy, which faces Oakesdale in a loser-out on Saturday for second place.

Oakesdale 51, Garfield-Palouse 49: Logan Reed scored 14 points, including a tie-breaking basket in the fourth quarter, and the Nighthawks (18-6) eliminated the Vikings (12-10). Katie Arrasmith scored 24 points and Payson Griner added 20 for Gar-Pal.
